aBout.

I've been a SKINNY PUPPY fan since I first heard the cassette single for Chainsaw blasting at a friends house party. Right out of high school I merged my love of music with my love of zine making and created MOVEMENT Magazine, an underground music, art, and culture zine that grew its reach throughout the '90s and '00s to cover shows, clubs, and events across the southeast.

My first time covering anything SKINNY PUPPY related as official media was heading to Atlanta on April 20,1991 to see industrial music super-group PIGFACE who Ogre had joined for the live tour. By hustle and fate we found ourselves backstage sitting in the dressing room with him. He was reading the script for a movie adaptation of the then practically unknown comic series THE CROW. Reading for the part of Funboy as he introduced us to James O'barr's comic for the first time. After the interview we immediately left the venue and went to Criminal Records in Little Five Points and bought all the issues of The CROW comic book and read them before the show.

I then saw the band for the first time live at The EDGE in Orlando, Florida on June 20,1992 for the LAST RIGHTS tour.

I was friends and collaborator with Goth DJ Myk World, founder and ringleader of NETHERWORLD nightclubs. He was friends with the guys and we would end up hanging out with cEvin on occasion when he was in Orlando or when Myk would bring him in to DJ at one of his club events.

Over the years I stayed in touch with both Ogre and cEvin and after the bands break up in 1995 I continued to feature their various solo exploits in the magazine.

But I couldn't have been more excited when the organizers of the DOOMSDAY festival in Germany in 2000 were able to get the guys back together for a one-off show that opened the door to the new incarnation of SKINNY PUPPY we know them as today. Their label SPV quoted my review of their landmark comeback album GREATER WRONG OF THE RIGHT in the national advertising campaign for its release.

Since then there has been a few interviews, reviews, and live shows featured in the magazine, our site, and social media.

On the eve of their last tour I found it fitting to excavate the MOVEMENT magazine archives and unearth my history with the band through the magazine in photos, interviews, and more to share with all the fans in one site.

Enjoy.
